NAB approves inquiry against former Railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - An important meeting of the NAB Executive Board approved an inquiry against former Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique and other officials.
The meeting of the Executive Board of the National Accountability Bureau was held under the chairmanship of NAB Chairman Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal at NAB Headquarters Islamabad.
The meeting approved inquiries against former Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, Railways officials and others including Muzaffar Ali Ranjha, former DG Anti-Corruption Punjab, Noorul Amin Mengal, former DCO Faisalabad, officers of Highways Department Faisalabad, officers of City District Government Faisalabad.
NAB also approved inquiries against Chaudhry Sher Ali, former Mayor, former Member National Assembly Faisalabad and others.
The meeting approved to send inquiries to FBR and FIA for further action against former Tehsil Nazim, Ghazala Shaheen daughter of Muhammad Yaseen, Ghulam Murtaza, Azam Sohail and others as per inquiry law.
Chairman NAB Javed Iqbal said that NAB is a national anti-corruption body, NAB has recovered Rs 323 billion directly and indirectly in 2020 while since its inception it has recovered Rs 814 billion directly and indirectly from corrupt elements which is a record.
