Pakistan reports 1,893 coronavirus cases, 83 deaths in 24 hours
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and KP
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 83 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 928,588. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 21,105 on Friday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 1,893 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
341,390 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 321,425 in Sindh, 133,746 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 81,540 in Islamabad, 25,476 in Balochistan, 19,388 in Azad Kashmir and 5,623 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 13,420,779 coronavirus tests and 52,859 in the last 24 hours. 856,005 patients have recovered in the country whereas 3,557 patients are in critical condition.
