Coronavirus kills 67 Pakistanis, infects 2,482 in 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan has reported 67 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 913,784. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 20,607 on Friday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 2,482 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic both in terms of cases as well as deaths followed by Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

Till now 337,775 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 314,158 in Sindh, 131,411 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 24,908 in Balochistan, 80,927 in Islamabad, 19,060 in Azad Kashmir and 5,545 in Gilgit-Baltistan.



Furthermore, 9,925 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,988 in Sindh, 4,025 in KP, 273 in Balochistan, 753 in Islamabad, 536 in Azad Kashmir and 107 in GB.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 13,057,951 coronavirus tests and 51,625 in the last 24 hours. 834,566 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,132 patients are in critical condition.
