Sh Rashid visits Sindh Rangers Headquarters
Sheikh Rashid lauded the role of Sindh Rangers in maintaining law and order in Karachi.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Wednesday visited Sindh Rangers Headquarters during his visit to Karachi to review law and order situation following the directions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Dunya News reported.
Director General Sindh Rangers Major General Iftikhar Hassan Chaudhry welcomed Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on reaching the Sindh Rangers Headquarters. The Federal Interior Minister was accompanied by Secretary Interior Yousuf Naseem Khokhar during the visit.
The Federal Interior Minister was briefed on the overall law and order situation in Sindh province including Karachi at Rangers headquarters. Suggestions for improving the law and order situation in Sindh also came under discussion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Federal Interior Minister said that Karachi is the backbone of Pakistani economy and we will ensure law and order here. Sheikh Rashid also lauded the role of Sindh Rangers in maintaining law and order in Karachi.
Earlier, speaking to media on his arrival in Karachi Sheikh Rashid said that there were no chances of imposition of governor rule in Sindh. The Minister said although the law and order was a provincial chapter however PM had directed him to visit the megalopolis to review the law and order situation and submit the report.
He added that he would be conducting meetings with Sindh Governor, Chief Minister and Rangers officials to discuss the law and order situation of the city.
