The development came after at least 36 Palestinians including 10 children were martyred while scores injured in Israeli forces’ intermittent attacks and air strikes on Gaza.
Hamas fired a barrage of rockets at economic hub Tel Aviv in retaliation to Israel’s barbaric air raid that destroyed a tower block in Gaza.
The situation intensified after Israel attacked Al Aqsa Mosque that left almost 700 Palestinians injured.
Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, warned Israel to withdraw all its forces from the mosque compound and the east Jerusalem district of Sheikh Jarrah, where looming evictions of Palestinian families have fuelled angry protests.
