Walk-in coronavirus vaccination process for citizens aged 40, above begins

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The process of walk-in coronavirus vaccination for the citizens of age 40 and above has begun from today (Wednesday).
According to details, the citizens who have registered themselves have been given facility to walk into any vaccination center of their choice and get vaccinated.
In a post on social-networking website Twitter, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms and Special Initiatives Asad Umar wrote, “Please note that vaccination centres are open and will only be closing for two days on Eid-ul-Fitr.”
On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 104 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 867,446. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 19,210.
According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 2,869 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
322,117 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 294,251 in Sindh, 125,392 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 78,560 in Islamabad, 23,655 in Balochistan, 18,056 in Azad Kashmir and 5,407 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 12,310,875 coronavirus tests and 38,616 in the last 24 hours. 771,692 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,707 patients are in critical condition.
The COVID Positivity Ratio was recorded at 7.42 percent.
