Jammu & Kashmir not India's internal matter: FM Qureshi
He said nothing about J&K can be India's internal matter
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday categorically said Jammu and Kashmir was not India s internal matter and the final settlement of the dispute lay in the resolutions of United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
"Let me be clear: Jammu & Kashmir is an internationally recognised dispute on the UN Security Council agenda," he said in a tweet.
The foreign minister mentioned that the UNSC resolution called for "free and impartial plebiscite under" the UN auspices to resolve the dispute.

Earlier, addressing the condolence reference organized by Tehreek-e-Kashmir United Kindom regarding Ashraf Sahrai through video link, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi termed the death of senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Ashraf Sahrai as extrajudicial killing in custody.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that Sehrai struggled in all his life for the Kashmir cause and right of self-determination.
FM Qureshi said that Sehrai never lost hope but in Kashmir struggle he lost his beloved son Junaid Sehrai through extra judicial killing in custody. Sehrai also left us under Indian custody which deeply saddened me.
"Sehrai saw ups and downs, faced oppression but never accepted India’s illegal occupation," Qureshi added. Foreign Minister Qureshi condoled with the berieved family of Sehrai and the leadership of APHC .
"On this occasion I want to reiterate Pakistan’s support to the Kashmir cause and are confident that Kashmiris will succed and one day achieve their objective according to the UN charter and commitment made under Security Council resolutions," Foreign Minister Qureshi concluded.
