Sheikhupura: Several injured in multi-vehicle crash on motorway
SHEIKHUPURA (Dunya News) - Multiple vehicles collided on the motorway near Khanpur due to poor visibility caused by the smoke of burning wheat crop residue.
According to motorway officials, farmers had set fire to destroy wheat residue near Khanpur area of Sheikhupura district, causing poor visibility. Drivers could not control their vehicles which kept colliding with each other due to high speed. Several people were injured in the accident.
It is believed that such accidents on the motorways are becoming more common every year but the authorities have failed to control it.
