Pakistan has so far conducted 11,377,423 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 98 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 778,238. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 16,698 on Thursday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 5,857 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 7,718 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,562 in Sindh, 2,990 in KP, 649 in Islamabad, 449 in Azad Kashmir, 226 in Balochistan, and 104 in GB.

Furthermore 279,437 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 275,081 in Sindh, 109,704 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 71,533 in Islamabad, 21,242 in Balochistan, 16,026 in Azad Kashmir and 5,215 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 11,377,423 coronavirus tests and 57,591 in the last 24 hours. 676,605 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,593 patients are in critical condition.
