In the Sindh Assembly session, a resolution was moved by Sindh Information Minister Nasir Hussain Shah against the blasphemous sketchesthe and in the honor of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which was unanimously passed by the House.

Introducing the resolution, Minister Nasir Hussain in his address said that we will scarify our lives for the honor of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), adding that this sensitive issue should have been resolved amicably.

Jamaat-e-Islami member Syed Abdul Rashid demanded the removal of Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid and said that the agreements reached regarding the honor of the Prophet (PBUH) should be implemented.

Mufti Qasim Fakhri of the banned Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) said that an agreement had been reached between the federal government and TLP in November last year. Due to the incompetence of the government, they were given time again and when people protested, they were shot.
