NAB decides to auction Nawaz Sharif's properties

The NAB took the decision as Nawaz Sharif was declared proclaimed offender in Toshakhana reference.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has on Monday decided to auction all properties of former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif.

The anti-graft body’s spokesperson told that the bureau will move an accountability court in this regard. The NAB took the decision as Nawaz Sharif was declared proclaimed offender in the Toshakhana reference.

According to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), Nawaz Sharif has shares in four companies and eight accounts in private banks including three foreign currency accounts. He has 6 lac and 12 thousand rupees in five accounts and 566 euros, 698 USD and 498 GBP in foreign currency accounts.

According to the NAB report, there are properties in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Murree and Abbottabad in names of Nawaz Sharif and members dependant on him. The assets include 15-kanal home in Abbottabad, property in Upper Mall, 1,752-kanal agricultural land in Lahore, 936-kanal land in Moza Manik and other properties.
