Resolution against blasphemous caricatures likely to be presented in NA today

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A unanimous resolution against the blasphemous caricatures published by French weekly magazine Charlie Hebdo is likely to be presented in National Assembly (NA) today (Monday).

Sources told that the resolution will contain signatures of all the members of the opposition and government. The lawmakers will also be given brief time to express their views after the approval of the resolution.

The business advisory committee will formulate final draft of the resolution in a meeting scheduled to be held in afternoon.


Islamic Ideological Council passes resolution against France


Islamic Ideological Council had passed a resolution against France on the issue of blasphemous caricatures during a three-day meeting.

In the briefing, Chairman Dr. Qibla Ayaz said that the Islamic Ideological Council supported the boycott of French products. He also formulated a plan of action for the holy personalities, Ahl al-Bayt and Sahaba.
