Pakistan reports 5,139 coronavirus cases, 100 deaths in 24 hours

Pakistan has so far conducted 10,688,894 coronavirus tests.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 100 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 715,968. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 15,329 on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 5,139 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Till now 6,908 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,523 in Sindh, 2,586 in KP, 601 in Islamabad, 395 in Azad Kashmir, 213 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.

Furthermore 268,284 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 245,923 in Punjab, 97,318 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 64,902 in Islamabad, 20,178 in Balochistan, 14,260 in Azad Kashmir and 5,103 in Gilgit-Baltistan.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 10,688,894 coronavirus tests and 49,069 in the last 24 hours. 627,561 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,204 patients are in critical condition.
