People not cooperating during third wave of Coronavirus: Asad Umar
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Planning and Development Minister and Head of National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) Asad Umar has said that people are not cooperating during the third wave of coronavirus urging political parties to not hold rallies which will help reduce the spread of Covid-19.
Asad Umar said this while talking to Dunya News program "Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath". He said that at present the capacity in hospitals of Islamabad is 40% while in Lahore it is 50% adding that hospital facilities are being further enhanced.
The head of the NCOC said that this third wave of virus had started in the UK but was no longer confined to the UK. The number of cases in India and Bangladesh has also increased six times.
"The British virus is more deadly," he said. The number of cases is higher in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and Azad Kashmir while it is lower in Sindh. He feared that the number of patients will also increase in Balochistan and Sindh.
