PTI decides to retain Amjad Afridi as candidate for NA-249 by-polls
PTI leader Ali Haider Zaidi said that 18 PTI members had applied for the ticket for NA-249 by-polls.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) parliamentary board has decided to retain Amjad Afridi as candidate for by-polls in National Assembly constituency NA-249, Dunya News reported on Friday.
Federal Minister for Shipping and Maritime Affairs Ali Haider Zaidi in a message on Twitter said that the PTI parliamentary board deliberated for long hours. After considering all points of views, senior leadership of the party has collectively decided that Amjad Afridi will be our candidate against the imported and NAB tainted PDM candidate (Miftah Ismail).
He said that 18 PTI members had applied for the ticket for NA-249 by-polls and the PTI parliamentary board and senior leadership of the party has in favour of Amjad Afridi as candidate for NA-249 by-elections.
