NA-249 by-election: PTI issues ticket to Amjad Afridi
NA-249 by-election will be held on April 29.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has Friday issued ticket to local official Amjad Afridi for the NA-249 (Karachi West-II) by-election against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Miftah Ismail.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced to hold the by-election on April 29. The scrutiny of the nomination papers of the candidates will be completed by March 25. The contestants will be able to lodge appeals against the returning officer’s decision in the appellate tribunal till March 29.
Final list of the candidates will be issued on April 6. The applicants will be able to withdraw their papers by April 7. Election symbols will be allotted on April 8. It is pertinent here to mention that by-election in NA-249 is being held as the seat fell vacant after PTI’s Faisal Vawda resigned from his NA seat.
