DG ISI thanked the Air Chief for his contribution in enhancing the professional capability of PAF

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Air Staff (CAS) Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan on Tuesday paid a farewell call on the Director General Inter-Services (ISI) Intelligence Lieutenant General Faiz Hamid.

According a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Director General ISI thanked the Air Chief for his contribution in enhancing the professional capability of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) during his illustrious career, during the meeting.

The Air Chief also appreciated ISI’s performance in guarding and furthering national interests.

Earlier, Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar Khan also paid a farewell call on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.

The army chief lauded the services of the air chief during a long and illustrious career, especially his role during Operation Swift Retort when Pakistan shot down two Indian jets and cooperation in fight against terrorism.

Air Chief Marshal Mujahid Anwar was given a guard of honor upon his arrival at the GHQ. He also laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.

Let it be known that Mujahid Anwar Khan will hand over the charge to new chief on March 18. The Ministry of Defence had earlier forwarded a summary comprising four names to Prime Minister Imran Khan for the appointment of the new air chief.

The four senior most officers recommended in the summary include names of Air Marshal Noman Ali, Air Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar, Air Marshal Javad Saeed and Air Marshal Haseeb Paracha.
