Time for Imran Khan's resignation not Election Commission: Qamar Zaman

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) senior leader Qamar Zaman Kaira while reacting to Shibli Faraz s statement said that now is the time for the resignation of Prime Minister Imran Khan not the Election Commission.

Addressing a press conference in Lahore, he said that the names of both the candidates were on the ballot paper in the Senate elections. Our 7 votes were canceled. Does stamping the name cancel the vote, he asked.

He said that the rejection of 7 votes of Yousuf Raza Gillani was not rigging but a robbery. We will use other means, including the court, to seek justice. Fake revolutionaries were exposed, he added.

It may be recalled that Federal Ministers on Monday demanded the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to resign.

Ministers said that due to the impartiality of the Election Commission, we have lost confidence in it. Therefore, all members of the Election Commission should resign.
