RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has on Saturday released the national song ‘Aik Qaum, Aik Manzil’ for 23rd March – Pakistan Day.

The ISPR said, “On 23rd March 1940, Muslims of the Sub-Continent, while exhibiting heights of unity, faith and discipline, passed the historic Resolution for establishment of a separate homeland.

“Muslims shared one vision and were always one in their resolve against all odds.

“The song; Aik Qaum, Aik Manzil, highlights the very same ideology of unity, resilience and an indomitable resolve of Pakistanis, 81 years later.

“Compassion, tolerance, brotherhood and the feeling of oneness is the essence, which consolidates Pakistan into one nation, despite being a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic and a multi-religious society.”

The song has been sung by Ali Zafar and Aima Baig. Abid Hassan has written it while the composition is also by Ali Zafar. It highlights Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s message of sacrifice rendered to achieve independence of the motherland.

The song highlights this year’s theme for the Pakistan Day celebrations “one nation, one destiny” and unwavering resolve to withstand all challenges and crisis bravely with national solidarity and cohesion.

The song opens up with the Quaid’s address to the nation, quoting him, “We have rendered great sacrifices for achieving Pakistan.”

It also contains visuals of various military parades, nation celebrating Pakistan Day at Minare Pakistan, Pakistan Monument, Faisal Mosque, Badshahi Mosque, Ayub Bridge Sukkur and other key destinations along with performances by Ali Zafar and Aima Baig.
