MQM-P to support govt nominees for Senate Chairman, Deputy Chairman slots
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) has decided to support government candidates in the elections of Senate Chairman and Deputy Chairman.
An emergency meeting of the MQM Pakistan Coordination Committee was held at the Karachi Bahadurabad temporary headquarters in which Muttahida once again decided to maintain alliance with the federal government.
According to sources, the MQM will vote for the government nominees for the slots of Senate chairman and deputy chairman.
During the meeting, the members of the Coordination Committee took a stand that if the PPP government in Sindh took the issues of citizens seriously then an alliance at provincial level could be discussed in future.
