Japan ambassador calls on Federal Minister for IT Syed Aminul Haque

Syed Aminul Haque said Pakistan wants to benefit from Japan's experience in the field of technology.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Ambassador of Japan Matsuda Kuninori called on Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Aminul Haque in his office in Islamabad on Wednesday, Dunya News reported.

Aminul Haque and Ambassador Matsuda Kuninori agreed during the meeting to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and Japan in the field of information and communication technology.

During a meeting with the Japanese Ambassador, IT Minister Aminul Haque said that steps are being taken for the development of IT and telecommunication sector in the country. He said that Pakistan s IT and telecom sector is growing rapidly.

He said that Pakistan values its relations with Japan and wants to benefit from Japan s experience in the field of technology.

Aminul Haque said that the environment is conducive for investment in Pakistan and added that Japanese companies should invest in IT and telecom sector in Pakistan. He said that in the first half of the current financial year, IT exports have increased by 40 percent.

Speaking on the occasion, the Japanese Ambassador Matsuda Kuninori said that the role of the Ministry of IT in developing the IT and telecom sector in Pakistan is commendable.
