Big fish will be held accountable: NAB chairman

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has said that now big fish will be held accountable, all public sector departments are required to submit copies of contracts worth Rs 500 million or more for scrutiny to NAB.

According to details, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of NAB Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal in which notice was taken of non-submission of details of projects costing more than Rs 500 million by government departments.

Chairman NAB said that strict action would be taken against the officers who do not work as per the law.

He said that all regional bureaus of NAB should ensure submission of copies of such projects. The Chairman NAB directed the authorities to complete the verification of complaints, inquiries and investigations within the stipulated time.
