K-Electric consumers likely to get relief in summer season
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Karachi’s electricity consumers are likely to get a big relief in the summer season as NEPRA has approved additional supply of 150MW from the national grid to K-Electric.
According to details, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has decided to supply 150MW of additional power to K-Electric, for which it approved a tripartite agreement between CPPA, NTDC and K-Electric.
K-Electric will be provided 150MW of electricity from three wind power plants, with Tenaga, Zephyr and Hydro China power plants supplying 50MW each.
A statement issued by the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) said that the federal government was already supplying 650MW of electricity to K-Electric from the national grid.
