'All Senate candidate from Punjab elected unopposed due to personal efforts of Pervaiz Elahi'

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) on Saturday said that all Senate candidates from Punjab were elected unopposed because of personal efforts of Speaker of the provincial assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
During a meeting with political leaders, PML-Q head urged other provinces of the country to follow the example set by Punjab. Solidarity on all national issues including Senate elections should be encouraged, he stressed.
Chaudhry Shujaat further said that Pervaiz Elahi took former president Asif Ali Zardari and leaders of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) into confidence on the Senate issue.
