Coronavirus kills 32 Pakistanis, infects 1,541 in one day

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan has reported 32 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 577,482. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 12,804 on Friday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 1,541 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Most numbers of casualties have been reported in Punjab.

Till now 257,408 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 170,222 in Punjab, 71,728 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19,035 in Balochistan, 44,032 in Islamabad, 10,101 in Azad Kashmir and 4,956 in Gilgit-Baltistan.



Furthermore 5,323 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 4,322 in Sindh, 2,065 in KP, 200 in Balochistan, 496 in Islamabad, 296 in Azad Kashmir and 102 in GB.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 8,873,741 coronavirus tests and 41,849 in the last 24 hours. 542,393 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,558 patients are in critical condition.
