No point in answering baseless allegations: DG ISPR

He said government is responding well to those who point fingers

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Major General Babar Iftikhar on Thursday said that the tea offer is still valid and those who point fingers are answered where needed.

Speaking with a private television channel on Thursday, he said that where necessary, those who point fingers are answered, adding that the government is responding well to those who point fingers and there is no point in answering the baseless allegations.

The DG ISPR said that the people of Pakistan and the media love their army and institutions very much, adding that there is no need to create a tit for tat situation and the offer of tea remains valid.

To a question regarding contact of Pak-India DGMOs, Maj Gen Babar Iftikhar said that the Pakistan and Indian DGMOs contact was under military-to-military geometry mechanism. “DGMO hotline is an old mechanism under which communication is maintained no matter what the situation is,” he said.
