ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has on Thursday directed the federal government to start construction work of the judicial complex in the federal capital within a month.

The high court ordered to constitute a committee of secretaries of the Interior, Law and Planning Ministries and remarked that the work should start in thirty days without getting stuck in the bureaucratic problems.

IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah said the court does not want to intervene but will also not allow the violation of basic rights. The situation in district kutcheri is a matter of the basic rights of complainants, he said while adding that the court has trust in Prime Minister Imran Khan and his government that the problem will be solved.

The secretary of Ministry of Law and Justice told that PC-1 (Project Cycle) of the judicial complex will be approved today. The court also ordered to submit progress report over the construction of the lawyers’ complex and administrative control of the workers of special courts.
