Govt not thinking about governor rule: Imran Ismail
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has expressed anger over the arrest of opposition leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh and demanded removal of IG Sindh Mushtaq Mehar.
Talking to media in Karachi, he said that what happened to IG Sindh was feared. He said that a letter has been written to the Prime Minister for the transfer of IG Sindh. He also warned police to only serve the state
Governor Sindh said that we should not be forced to take extreme measures. He alleged that IG Sindh Mushtaq Mehar has political affiliation and the pressure on the police is clearly visible.
Imran Ismail said that the Leader of the Opposition has a privilege of his own. If we do this to him, then the reaction is evident.
If IG Sindh joins a province and becomes a party, then a drastic step can be taken. The federation wants atrocities to be eradicated from Sindh. The federation is not thinking about Governor Rule, he added.
