Pakistan has so far conducted 8,498,022 coronavirus tests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 47 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 564,824. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 12,380 on Tuesday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 958 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.


Province-wise Details


Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad.

Till now 254,016 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 164,696 in Punjab 69,885 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 42,808 in Islamabad, 18,946 in Balochistan, 9,532 in Azad Kashmir and 4,941 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Furthermore 5,084 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,226 in Sindh, 2,000 in KP, 486 in Islamabad, 283 in Azad Kashmir, 199 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.


Tests and Recoveries


Pakistan has so far conducted 8,498,022 coronavirus tests and 31,905 in the last 24 hours. 527,061 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 1,648 patients are in critical condition.
