Chairman WAPDA calls on Acting Governor Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi
Parvez Elahi said completion of new dams will provide cheap electricity and water for irrigation.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Chairman WAPDA Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Muzzammil Hussain called on Acting Governor Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on Friday, Dunya News reported.
In a meeting held at Governor House, Chairman WAPDA briefed Chaudhry Parvez Elahi on the ongoing projects of the department. He said that said that work on Mohmand, Dasu and Diamer Bhasha dams is in full swing.
He also informed Chaudhry Parvez Elahi that the construction work on Mohmand and Dasu dams will be completed by 2025 while the construction work on Diamer Bhasha Dam will be completed in 2028.
Chaudhry Parvez Elahi lauded the performance of Chairman WAPDA and said that completion of new dams will provide cheap electricity and abundant water for irrigation.
