Details of convicts given life sentences, death penalties presented in NA
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has presented the details of the convicts who have been sentenced to death and life imprisonment in the National Assembly.
The written reply submitted by Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said that the number of convicts on death row in the four provinces was 759 while the number of life imprisonment convicts was 14,318.
According to details, the number of death row convicts in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and KP is 15, 527, 48 and 169 respectively.
Moreover, the number of convicts serving life sentences in Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and KP is 7916, 3536, 430 and 1677 respectively.
