Justice Faez Isa takes notice of uplift grant to lawmakers
Will dispose of the matter if the grant is being given as per the constitution and law: Justice Isa
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Justice Qazi Faez Isa on Wednesday took notice of the uplift grant announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan for lawmakers of National and provincial assemblies.
During a hearing of a case, Justice Faez Isa asked that is the prime minister’s giving funds to lawmakers in line with the constitution and law.
He directed the Advocate General and Attorney General to seek instructions from the government and inform the SC in this regard. We will dispose of the matter if the grant is being given as per the constitution and law, he said.
Justice Isa remarked that the matter will be sent to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed for constitution of the bench to hear the notice.
