PM Imran expresses condolences on demise of Shaan's mother
My condolences and prayers go to Shaan Shahid on the passing of his mother.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Sunday has expressed his condolences on the demise of former actress and mother of actor Shaan Shahid, Neelo Begum.
The premier took to social-networking website and posted, “My condolences and prayers go to Shaan Shahid on the passing of his mother.”

It is to be mentioned here that Abida Riaz, commonly known by her industry name Neelo Begum, had passed away on January 30 at the age of 80.
Shaan announced the news of her mother’s demise in a tweet and wrote, "It is with the saddest of heart I share the departure of my mother as she has gone to her Creator. May Allah bless her.”
Neelo Begum was born Catholic on June 30, 1940 in Bhera Tehsil, Sargodha.
At the age of 16, she tried her hand at acting and had since acted in hundreds of films. She got her big break in the film industry when she performed on the song "Aaye mausam, rangilay suhanay" in the film Saat Lakh.
