Khokar brothers have approached LHC against Khokar Palace operation.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Saif-ul-Malook Khokar has filed a contempt of court plea in Lahore High Court (LHC) after district administration demolished parts of Khokar Palace on Sunday.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MPA, in his plea, has argued that authorities demolished his residence despite court’s stay order. He asked the court to start contempt of court hearing against DG LDA and other nominated.

On the other hand, PML-N leaders have decided to stage protest during Punjab assembly session against demolishing of Khokhar Palace and increasing inflation.

It is pertinent to mention here that district administration launched action against PML-N leaders’ Khokhar Palace in the provincial capital to retrieve state land.

As per details, the authorities aimed to recover 45 kanals of land and for this purpose 13 shops and several temporary huts were demolished by the use of heavy machinery.

Officials claimed that out of 177 kanals, only 131 kanals are owned by Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar and remaining land was illegally occupied.
