Motorway sections closed as fog blankets parts of Punjab
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Dense fog has blanketed several cities of Punjab including Lahore on night between Monday and Tuesday, badly disrupting the road traffic and paralysing routine life, Dunya News reported.
The Motorway M2 and Motorway M3 have been closed for all kind of traffic at many places as visibility was very low due to dense fog. Dense fog has also affected flight operation at the Allama Iqbal International Airport.
Dense fog has also disrupted traffic at the National Highway near Gijranwala, Nankana Sahib, Kot Momin, Vehari and several other cities in plain area of Punjab as visibility was very low.
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving at very slow speed as the visibility was dropped to zero due to dense fog. The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling.
