JIT records statements of Usama Satti's killers, phone data sought
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The JIT set up to investigate the murder of Usama Nadeem Satti has recorded the statements of the arrested ATS operatives as well as responders who reached the crime scene. It has also sought data of the wireless robbery call made early Saturday morning.
According to sources, the accused security officials took the position that a call for robbery had been received and action was initiated against them. The JIT then sought wireless call data of the robbery while statements of officers and personnel who arrived at the scene were also recorded.
Blank shells found at the crime scene have been sent for forensics, while footage of Safe City cameras has also been requested. The next meeting of the JIT has been convened on Friday, during which the plaintiff has been directed to present his case witnesses.
