PDM lacked 'power' in Bahawalpur show: FM Qureshi
FM Qureshi said that India has buried the concept of secularism owing to its Hindutva
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Monday said that opposition parties’ Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) had lacked power in its political show in Bahawalpur.
In a statement, the foreign minister questioned that in whose era the funds of South Punjab were spent unfairly somewhere else.
Meanwhile, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that India has buried the concept of secularism owing to its Hindutva policy. He said the international media is openly criticizing India. He said the minorities are being treated in discrimination in India and farmers are also protesting there.
He said Pakistan has put forth a dossier before the world community, exposing the Indian terrorism with evidence. He said Pakistan will continue to raise the Kashmir issue at every forum and the movement of self-determination will succeed.
The minister said we have also written letters to the UN Secretary General and Human Rights Commissioner in Geneva, demanding free and fair trial to all the political prisoners in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and their release at the earliest.
He said PTI has taken two big decisions in its tenure regarding South Punjab; one was devolution of power to the grassroots level and the second was allocating special funds for development and construction of South Punjab.
