Bilawal condemn killing of coal miners in Balochistan
11 coal miners were shot dead in Machh on Sunday
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Chairman of Pakistan People Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has strongly condemned killing of 11 coal miners in Machh.
Bilawal Bhutto asked government to provide security and take other measures to ensure safety of people associated with coal mining. He also demanded federal or Balochistan government to provide compensation to heirs of the victims.
Earlier, 11 coal miners were shot dead while four others were injured in Mach area of Kachi district on Sunday.
Police said that armed men took the coal miners to nearby mountains where they opened fire on them. After news of the incident broke, security agencies arrived at the coal mine and cordoned off the area and collected evidence.
Rescue officials said that injured, who were said to be in critical condition, were shifted to hospital for medical treatment.
