The local authorities have refused to give permission for the public gathering

BAHAWALPUR (Dunya News) – Opposition parties under its alliance, Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), on Sunday are all set to hold public gathering against the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Bahawalpur.

According to details, all the preparations for the rally have been completed as the stage has been made while the venue has also been decorated with flags and banners.

Sources told that PDM head and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazal (JUI-F) chief Fazal-ur-Rehman, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz and other members of opposition parties will participate in the rally.

Meanwhile, the local authorities have refused to give permission for the public gathering due to increasing cases of coronavirus across the country. They have also blocked different routes by placing containers.  


PML-N demands immediate release of party workers, leaders


PML-N senior leader Rana Sanaullah has said that holding a rally is democratic right of everyone.

In a statement, the PML-N leader told that threat alert was issued to afraid the people. Will demolish puppet government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) with the help of the nation, he added.

Rana Sanaullah further demand immediate release of party workers.

On the other hand, PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the government authorities are making arrests for National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) and to hide its incompetency.

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) nexus cannot prove corruption of a single penny against PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif, she added.
