PDM's claims of resignations, siege are dead: Shibli Faraz

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Information Shibli Faraz has said that Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has opposed the resignations while claims of PDM’s protest and siege are dead.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting of the federal cabinet, the Information Minister said that the purpose of the 18th amendment was not to make the provinces separate states but to strengthen the federation. However, the Sindh government scored a political point.

He said that after coronavirus, the Sindh government stopped releasing wheat for political gains. By not releasing wheat, the PPP s aim was to harm the federal government politically. The Sindh government took a year and a half to permit to lay the 17-kilometer pipeline.

He said that India had started propaganda of false news against our government from the very first day. The EU DisinfoLab report exposed the Indian network. The same statement that was exposed by DisinfoLab in the report is being carried by some elements in the PDM.

The Federal Minister said that this is a large organized campaign aimed at spreading chaos in the country. The government is monitoring these things. Government is getting reports about people regarding links with Hussein Haqqani.

He said that Mufti Kifayatullah had made a very embarrassing speech, he was making the enemy happy. These people have become tools of India.

Minister said that movement has started in Maulana Fazlur Rehman s own party, it shows that PDM parties have started to split.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has expressed the resolve to eliminate hunger from the country by extending support to the deserving people through Ehsas Program.

Syed Shibli Faraz said that Imran Khan is committed that nobody across Pakistan should be left hungry as welfare of backward segments of society is one of his top priorities.
