CHAKWAL (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that efforts are being made to discredit Pakistan’s army in the world. Opposition groups call themselves democratic parties while on the other hand they call for army to overthrow the elected government.
Addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of the University of Chakwal, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the manner in which the opposition parties attacked the army was unprecedented in the history of the country. And the language that is being used is the same which Indian propaganda machine use against Pakistan.
Imran Khan said that earlier General (retd) Pervez Musharraf was criticized but he was a political figure because he had become the head of the country.
The European Union’s Disinfo Lab revealed that India had set up 700 fake news websites that used the names of dead people, with the sole purpose of misrepresenting Pakistan to the world, so no one from outside could invest in Pakistan.
Continuing, he said that India wants Pakistan’s army to be weak. India uses harsh language against Pakistan’s army.
While criticizing the opposition he said that they did not give any evidence and did not go to any forum and started attacking the Pakistan Army alleging to bring the selected government. For the first time, Pakistan’s opposition is targeting the army chief and the ISI chief.
The Prime Minister said that our soldiers are still making sacrifices. The opposition parties call themselves democrats and call their army to overthrow the elected government.
He said that Asif Ali Zardari was imprisoned by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for corruption. The opposition parties are attacking the army to save their theft. Change comes to mind first. The whole nation knows that for thirty years former leaders have looted the country. The BBC made a documentary on the theft of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari, both used to call each other thief.
Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan has laid foundation stone of various development projects in Chakwal on Saturday.
As per details, the inaugurated projects include Chakwal University, five hundred-bed hospital, a Law College and the Ring Road.
During the one-day visit, local political leaders will call on the Prime Minister, who will also speak on the occasion.
