PM Imran, COAS Gen Bajwa discuss country's security situation

Regional security situation was also discussed in the meeting.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday met Prime Minister Imran Khan at PM House.

During the meeting, matters pertaining to country’s security situation, ceasefire violations by India along Line of Control and human rights abuses in Kashmir came under discussion.

Regional security situation was also discussed in the meeting.

Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General Lieutenant General Faiz Hameed was also present in the meeting. 

They also discussed the professional matters pertaining to Pakistan Army and external and internal security situation. They expressed concern over continuous human rights violation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Moreover, they also deliberated over the ceasefire violations and frequent provocative measures from Indian forces along the Line of Control.

Both the civil and military leadership resolved that defence of the motherland would be ensured with the support of entire nation at all cost.
