NAB approves to file reference against Shehbaz Sharif's son-in-law
The meeting approved inquiries against ex-Balochistan CM Sanaullah Zehri and Dr Abdul Malik
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The meeting of the executive board of the National Accountability Board (NAB) on Tuesday approved to file a reference against former Punjab chief minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president Shehbaz Sharif s son-in-law Ali Imran Yousuf.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday, the meeting also approved corruption inquiries against former Balochistan CM Sanaullah Zehri, Dr Abdul Malik and PML-N leader Malik Saiful Malook Khokhar.
The statement further stated that the accused caused a loss of Rs 499 million to the national exchequer. A total of two NAB references, investigations and 15 inquiries were also approved.
The NAB Executive Board also approved the filing of references against former Board of Revenue officials, including Sarwar Javed. The accused caused a loss of Rs 64.8 million to the national exchequer.
The anti-graft watchdog also approved corruption inquiries against former MNAs Mudassar Qayyum Nehra and Azhar Qayyum Nehra, former Balochistan chief ministers Dr Abdul Malik, Sanaullah Zehri, PML-N leader Malik Saif-ul-Malook Khokhar and others.
Speaking on the occasion, the anti-graft agency chairman said that eradication of corruption from the country is the top priority of NAB, adding that Rs 714 billion have been recovered under the Accountability for All policy.
