Moulana Tariq Jamil urged his admirers and loved ones to pray for his health.

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Renowned religious cleric Moulana Tariq Jameel contracted coronavirus on Sunday.

The religious cleric took to Twitter and informed his followers about testing positive for COVID-19 adding that he had been feeling unwell for the past few days.

He was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Rawalpindi on the advice of doctors.

Moulana Tariq Jamil also urged his admirers and loved ones to pray for his health. Tariq Jamil also shared a positive message for all his admirers. “Those who stay positive leave longer impact of their efforts,” he wrote.

Maulana Tariq Jameel is a prominent Deobandi scholar who is also one of the most popular preachers in Pakistan. He belongs to the Tablighi Jamaat group and his lectures focus on the subject of self-purification, avoidance of violence, observance of Allah’s orders and pursuing the way of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

Maulana Tariq Jamil continuously named as one of The 500 Most Influential Muslims in the world by the Royal Aal al-Bayt Institute for Islamic Thought in Jordan from 2013 to 2019. The religious scholar stood 40th of a list ranking the world’s most “influential” Muslims in 2019.
