CM Usman Buzdar okays universal health coverage program
Getting medical treatment is fundamental right of every citizen: Usman Buzdar
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Tuesday approved universal health coverage program which will be rolled out in entire province by the end of the next year.
A meeting under the chair of CM Usman Buzdar was held to review universal health coverage. The meeting was also attended by provincial health minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary.
On directives of CM Punjab, the provincial government has decided in principle to provide health coverage to every resident of Punjab.
On the occasion, Usman Buzdar said that in first phase, two districts will get complete coverage and as per vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Insaf Health Card will be issued to every citizen.
Getting medical treatment is fundamental right of every citizen and it is duty of government to provide such facility to masses, he added.
