Bilawal Bhutto isolated himself after his political advisor tested positive for coronavirus.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has tested positive for novel coronavirus.

Bilawal Bhutto, in a tweet on Thursday, said that he is experiencing mild symptoms of the disease and is self-isolating. I will continue to work from home and will be addressing PPP foundation day via video link, he added.

According to sources, five members of Bilawal’s personal and security staff have also contracted the disease and some workers of Bilawal House are also experiencing symptoms of coronavirus.

On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Shibli Faraz has prayed for the recovery of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari who tested positive for Covid-19.

Expressing his best wishes for the recovery of all the coronavirus infected people, he, in a tweet, said precaution is important to stay safe from the pandemic.

The Information Minister said coronavirus makes no distinction between the leaders and the people. He appealed the opposition leaders to take care of their health as well as the lives of other people.

Pakistan has reported 40 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 386,198. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 7,843.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 3,306 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Sindh remains the worst-hit province by the pandemic in terms of cases followed by Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan. Punjab has overtaken Sindh in most number of casualties.
