'Govt will not go anywhere even if opposition completes century of rallies'

Opposition's non-seriousness behavior on coronavirus will be harmful for Pakistan, Ch Sarwar said.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar has on Wednesday said that the government will not go anywhere even if the opposition completes century of political rallies.

Provincial minister Akhtar Malik called on the governor along with other leaders and exchanged views on national situation and departmental affairs.

Chaudhry Sarwar said, “People are standing united by the government, democracy and parliament and will foil the efforts of those who want to halt the national progress. Those who wish for midterm elections have to wait until 2023.

“The opposition’s non-seriousness behavior on coronavirus will be harmful for the country. The second wave of the pandemic can be more dangerous than the first.

“Those who are not following the COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) are endangering not only their own lives but of others too. It is necessary to follow the SOPs if we want to avoid America-like situation.”
