Begum Shamim Akhtar's body to reach Pakistan on Saturday: Marriyum Aurangzeb
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the body of late Begum Shamim Akhtar, mother of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif, will reach Lahore from London on Saturday.
Marriyum Aurangzeb said that the arrangements for departure of Shamim Akhtar’s body from London would be completed by Thursday and body would arrive in Pakistan on Saturday.
She said that arrangements have been started for the funeral of the late Begum Shamim Akhtar. The time and place of the funeral prayer will be announced soon.
According to the family sources documents for the transport have been completed and submitted to Qatar Airways. Earlier, it was reported that British Airways would fly Begum Shamim Akhtar’s body to Lahore on Saturday.
Earlier, Punjab cabinet gave approval to release Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz on parole. Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shahbaz will receive the body at the airport while other league leaders will also be present.
