FC soldier martyred in cross-border fire from Afghanistan

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – As a result of cross-border fire from Afghanistan, one Frontier Corps (FC) soldier, Naik Fakhr Abbas, embraced martyrdom and two others sustained injuries, ISPR said on Tuesday.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists targeted a security forces border post in Manzakai sector of Zhob from across the border in Afghanistan. A 22-year-old FC soldier, Naik Fakhr Abbas, was martyred while 2 soldiers got injured in result of the fire raid.

ISPR said that Pakistan has been consistently raising the issue of effective border management on the Afghan side with Afghanistan authorities and to keep a check on cross-border terrorist incidents.
