Justice Faez Isa reference: President should resign after court decision, says Fazal-ur-Rehman
QUETTA (Dunya News) - Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) Chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman has demanded the resignation of the President following the court verdict in the reference of Justice Qazi Faez Isa.
Addressing the PDM rally in Quetta, he said that the so-called cabinet had sent a reference against Justice Faez Isa. The court ruled that the reference was malicious. The government has lost its moral legitimacy since the court ruling. On what basis are you sitting in the chair of the President and the Prime Minister.
Referring to the economic situation of the country, Fazal-ur-Rehman said that the survival of the states depends on the economy but Pakistan has become poor. Our movement against these fake rulers will now gain more momentum.
He said that today Pakistan s economy was destroyed. When Vajpayee was the Prime Minister, Pakistan s economy was better. He came from India to make friends with Pakistan, but today the same India is taking advantage of Pakistan s economic weakness.
Fazal-ur-Rehman said that the powers of the provinces were increased through the 18th amendment. Today, I make it clear that no one should think of changing the Eighteenth Amendment.
People of Sindh and Balochistan have the right on the islands of Sindh and Balochistan. We will not allow any unseen force to rob the state.
Fazal-ur-Rehman said that today friends like China and Saudi Arabia are angry. When there was nothing in the treasury, Saudi Arabia put $3 billion in banks, while the current government said that Pakistan could not afford CPEC.
The gas pipeline project was also reduced to rubble. Today, Afghanistan and Iran are not interested in Pakistan. They have no consciousness, what is foreign policy. Kashmir has always been the focus of our foreign policy, he added.
